Publication Ethics

This statement outlines the publication ethics of Jurnal Ledalero: Discourse on Faith and Culture, published by the Ledalero Institute of Philosophy and Creative Technology (IFTK Ledalero). It is adapted from the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and serves as a code of conduct for editors, editorial board members, reviewers, and authors.

Articles published in Jurnal Ledalero reflect the collective responsibility of all parties involved in the publication process. To ensure the highest academic standards, the journal is committed to promoting an ethical publishing culture grounded in intellectual honesty and academic integrity. Editorial decisions are made without discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, belief, ethnicity, nationality, or political affiliation.

Duties of the Editor-in-Chief

  1. Evaluate manuscripts fairly, objectively, and professionally.
  2. Maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
  3. Decide which articles are published and determine publication schedules.
  4. Consult editorial board members and reviewers to enhance journal quality.
  5. Provide clear guidance and feedback to authors.
  6. Appoint appropriate reviewers for each manuscript.

Duties of Editorial Board Members

  1. Contribute actively to the development of the journal.
  2. Promote the journal within academic networks.
  3. Support editorial policies and standards.
  4. Edit manuscripts responsibly and professionally.

Duties of Reviewers

  1. Conduct reviews objectively, fairly, and professionally.
  2. Decline reviews in cases of conflict of interest or lack of expertise.
  3. Identify ethical concerns, including plagiarism.
  4. Maintain confidentiality of manuscript content.
  5. Adhere to the agreed review timeline.

Duties of Authors

Authors submitting to Jurnal Ledalero are required to:

  1. Uphold principles of academic integrity and responsible scholarship.
  2. Ensure manuscripts are original and free from fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism.
  3. Submit the Turnitin pdf file of the manuscript with the score of 20% at the maximum.
  4. Properly cite all sources and references.
  5. Ensure submissions align with the journal’s scope.
  6. Avoid content that may provoke social conflict.
  7. Submit manuscripts exclusively to Jurnal Ledalero during the review process.
  8. Confirm that the manuscript has not been previously published or presented.
  9. Sign a Declaration of Originality and Freedom from Plagiarism.
