  1. General Provisions

Manuscripts submitted to Apostolicum must be original, have not been previously published, and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Submissions may include empirical research findings or conceptual studies in the fields of Catholic Religious Education, Contextual Theology, Pastoral Studies, Liturgy, Catechetics, and other relevant disciplines.

Apostolicum is a peer-reviewed academic journal published twice a year. Manuscripts may be written in either Indonesian or English, with a maximum length of 14 pages including references, tables, figures, and appendices. The manuscript template can be downloaded from the journal’s official website.

  1. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be arranged in the following order, without chapter numbering:

  • Title (in Indonesian and English, written in uppercase)
  • Author’s name (without academic title), institutional affiliation, and corresponding author's email address
  • Abstract and keywords (in both Indonesian and English)
  • Introduction
  • Research Method
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • References
  1. Abstract and Keywords

The abstract must be written in both Indonesian and English (for manuscripts written in Indonesian), or in both languages for manuscripts written in English. The abstract should contain 100–250 words, single-spaced, and include the research background, objectives, methods, findings, and conclusion.

Keywords should be placed directly below the abstract and consist of 3 to 5 keywords or phrases that reflect the core themes of the manuscript.

  1. Tables and Figures

All tables and figures must be numbered using Arabic numerals and provided with clear titles. Additional explanations (captions) may be included if necessary. Tables and figures should be embedded within the manuscript body, not placed in the appendix.

  1. Submission and Review Process

Manuscripts should be submitted via email to the editorial team using the official contact information listed on the journal’s website. All correspondence, including editorial decisions and revision requests, will be conducted electronically.

  1. Article Categories

Authors are required to identify the appropriate category for their submission from the following list:

  • Research Paper: Reports on original research, including theoretical models, surveys, field studies, or laboratory work.
  • Conceptual Paper: Presents theoretical frameworks or hypotheses, often philosophical or comparative in nature, without empirical data.
  • Technical Paper: Describes and evaluates specific technical products, processes, or services relevant to religious education.
  • Case Study: Documents real-world experiences, interventions, or institutional practices that provide educational or reflective insights.
  1. Manuscript Revision

Authors must return revised manuscripts no later than one month after receiving a revision request from the editorial team. Submissions returned after this deadline will be treated as new submissions. Final corrected manuscripts must be resubmitted within one week after receiving final editorial approval.

  1. References

The reference list should be arranged alphabetically by the surname of the first author. Only works cited within the text should be included. If two or more works by the same author and year are cited, distinguish them by adding letters a, b, c, and so on after the year (e.g., 2023a, 2023b).
