Kajian Filsafat Pendidikan Humanistik Carl Rogers dalam Formasi Calon Imam di Era Revolusi Industri 4.0

The digital era presents multidimensional challenges for aspiring priests, particularly in maintaining personal maturity, firmness of vocational identity, and the ability to build healthy pastoral relationships amidst rapid socio-cultural change. This study aims to analyze the relevance of Carl Rogers' personality theory for the education and formation of aspiring priests in this context. Using a literature study method with critical analysis, the study examines Rogers's main works on personality theory, combined with the study of Holosko et al., on person-centered theory and Fransiskus Sili's thoughts on the whole and incomplete person. The results show that the basic principles of Rogers' humanism — especially self-actualization, unconditional positive regard, empathetic attitudes, and facilitative relationships — play a significant role in shaping aspiring priests into mature, authentic, and integrative individuals. This study offers a theoretical basis for the development of a seminary formation model that is more personalized, dialogical, and adaptive to the challenges of the digital era.
